Keep It Local Magazine, LLC
Collette Halford
Owner – publisher
I began my marketing career 27 years ago and was calling on all types of businesses for their advertising needs. I loved walking into businesses and getting to know what they do and how they got there. After selling advertising for a few years, I switched my main focus on new locally owned businesses. Though the years locally owned businesses has become my passion. I started my own business in October 2010. I am celebrating 15 years as an owner-publisher. This is my forever job or that is until I decide to retire, if that is even a thing lol!
Keep it Local Magazine is the best print direct mail value on the Northshore. It is delivered to 20,000 plus homes in Mandeville, Covington, Madisonville and Abita Springs 6 times a year. I have kept the rates affordable. Along with the print ad, I personally will post, tag and share their ad on social media. There are many customers that have advertised with me through these fifteen years and continue to advertise because they are getting a return on their investment. My main focus is to help local businesses grow!
My family and I originally grew up in Metairie. The best experience was growing up in a tight friendly neighborhood that was like family. There are many memoires of lots of fun chaos! Early on I moved to Mississippi where I married and had 2 sons. We then moved to Chattanooga, TN and lived there for 9 years. Then moved to Helena, Alabama (outside of Birmingham) for about a year. In 2006 we moved to Mandeville. My husband presently works for a technology company which supports me being a local business owner. I am very thankful for my opportunity to meet and support local business owners on the Northshore.
